Do I wash my hair, or do I keep it for another installment of Day 37?!
If you couldn’t see it very well in Chapter 2 of the vlog yesterday, here’s a well-lit version:
It’s a tough choice… I guess I have until tonight to decide.

Well that makes it a bit better…. but my pet hate is dirty hair. You’re a man, it’s short… it’s not as if it takes long!
What is it with men and dirty hair?

I have no idea… But I’ve always kept impeccably clean hair (as you will see in the first video, that’s what my hair usually looks like!)
My own pet hate is men with long hair that they’ve too lazy to clean. I have a few geeky friends (of course…) that don’t wash their hair regularly… ew… lank and nasty.
But again, look at some of my pictures, you will see I take care of my hair

When living in a place of severe drought, it’s not uncommon for hairwashing to happen only once a week. So I find this question odd. And when I was in the UK 2.5 years ago I found the prevalence of water odd, and would follow people around turning off taps, etc. I found this to be an interesting cultural difference between two countries that are othewise incredibly similar.
Until 2 days ago our 3 month rainfall for the state was 1.6mm. Water crackers are thicker than that.
PS. And except in extreme cases, no one seems to suffer for the non-washing of hair.
Or maybe we’re all just used to it.

What about those with greasy hair types? And it extends to a lack of showers too…?
It probably explains why everyone goes down to the sea..!
Is short hair prevalent there?

Re:drought and water
I shower daily, but yeah, some others do not. And there are these geat showerheads you can get that flick on and off for different parts of the cycle;
Wet down then water off
Lather up and wash then water back on.
Rinse.
Also very common for people to shower with a bucket in the corner of the cubicle which then gets taken out for watering the garden.
Actually the more you wash your hair the more propensity there is towards greasiness and the opposite is also true, because our natural oils are there for a reason. I think they suffer more for it up in the humid areas, but down here where it is so dry anyway, overwashed hair starts to become dry and brittle and hard to manage and look nice. Interesting eh?
