Even the deer are relaxed!

I was sitting outside, sitting on the mossy grass and reading a book when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. I sat up and spied something through a gap in the Victorian brick wall that surrounds our lawn.

It was a deer! Enjoying the sunshine, just as I was. The fact that she didn’t run away the moment I stood up suggests she was very relaxed indeed, basking in the lazy, golden sunshine that has blanketed England today.

IMG_1700-deer-sussex-spring-april-2009-1.jpgI like how she turned an ear to me, rather than her whole head. Obviously, I’m just not worth worrying about!

I quickly stripped down; my light all-body coverage of hair means I look remarkably like another deer.
