What happened to Dr Saunders? (Dollhouse Day)
Week 3 of Dollhouse season 2 and… jackpot!
I don’t know if it was the fact that Eliza Dushku was prancing around like some 18 year old university freshman, flouncing and giggling and and and… *takes a breath* Or maybe it was the deliciously creepy sociopath and his great pre-intro sequence.
But still no sign of Dr Saunders. I did a quick Google search and turned up nothing. Is Amy Acker pregnant or something? I can see she’s in another show this season too…
There’s probably a few spoilers in today’s set of screen-captures, but it won’t give away too much.
See if you can spot this episode’s ‘BSG alumnus of the week’. Still no sign of Summer Glau however…

Maybe it’s because I’m a girl, but I found Eliza Dushku’s performance really irritating this week. I feel like she’s always the same character, but with little tweaks. Enver Gjokaj (Victor), on the other hand, was creepy and spectacular.
October 10th, 2009 at 11:37 pmOh, totally! I can imagine she’s about as annoying as it can get for female viewers. Fortunately, Tahmoh is meant to be quite cute, as is Victor — so that’s the girls catered for…
Victor’s moves at the end were fantastic.
They were obviously trying to stretch her character a bit, with the motherly role last week. The kidnap-specialist in S1 was quite good also.
October 11th, 2009 at 12:10 amDr Saunders left….she found out that she used to be a Doll and couldn’t handle it.
“Saunders has trouble adjusting to the realisation that she is merely Topher’s creation, and objects to being wiped or restored as that would be tantamount to dying. She takes leave of the Dollhouse for some time to find herself.” Wikipedia
Or were you just wondering when she’s coming back? I think she does, and gets together with Langton….
October 11th, 2009 at 9:41 amI’m told she was only given 3 or 4 episodes this season, due to other commitments! (i.e. the other TV show she’s in, Happy Town I think, and 2 or 3 movies.)
I guess she’ll be back during some dramatic story arc…
October 11th, 2009 at 1:57 pmAye, she’ll be back to get it on with him
October 11th, 2009 at 2:06 pmVictor was pretty funny in that scene at the end, though it was a bit of a stretch to believe that, you know, “he” wouldn’t have noticed that he was not his normal self. But I love Tahmoh’s “You got a problem?”
Wacky episode overall, but entertaining.
October 12th, 2009 at 4:34 amPardon me, Erin– but Eliza’s “tweaks” are certainly not “little.”
October 12th, 2009 at 10:30 pmOh I completely forgot to watch this! Good thing reading this post didn’t contain any bad spoilers.
