I happened to pass by the mirror earlier (I don’t do it often — image issues, y’know!) and thought hm, those Internet folk have probably never seen me like this before…
You see, I nearly always have facial hair — as in, more than what you usually see in my self-portraits. I hate shaving (and showering, incidentally), but I don’t tend to do it a lot (but I do shower!) I only really shave when I’m going out or intending to take photos of myself, basically. What I’m trying to say is: I usually have a beard; not that designer stubble stuff.
Next: I wear glasses. There are scant few photos of me wearing glasses online. The Jesus one comes to mind, but other than that… there aren’t many! I nearly always take my glasses off before being photographed. I should get contact lenses, I know.
So, after glancing in the mirror, I grabbed my camera and tripod… and took some photos! The results are below. This is why most people think I am 40+ when they first meet me. Sorry for the blur/lack of focus — it’s dark outside and the crappy lights in the kitchen don’t offer much in the way of ILLUMINATION.
Something happened to the colour it seems (teething issues — new computer). I shouldn’t look like my liver is failing!

Some girls like guys that look like bums!
From my experience, about 90% of them like guys with short-cut hair and a younger appearance… shame

Boone, NC. Where I went to college, where the beards are a-plenty. The boys get into competitions such as “Octobeard” or “Beardtober” or “Fuzzy February,” where they do not shave for those months.
I like my guy’s inevitable mountain beard trimmed-ish, and his hair after he’s had a haircut and it grows out a little bit. He’s a happier person when he doesn’t have to move his hair out of his face, so that makes me more attracted to his mood.

On somedays I hate showering too. (But I do, I swear!)
Your hair looks much too soft and fluttery to let you look like a real bum. And. Glasses are always good. Always.

Dear Sebastian
You are so very sexy.
A writer. Humourous. An eye for detail. And superb looks.

“I shouldn’t look like my liver is failing” LOL. I liked the pics!! I like beards and glasses. I wear them too (glasses, not faux-moustaches) and I don’t think there’s a single pic of me in them online either! Contacts are okay – but still scary. I’ve had them as well for about a year now and I still can’t stand the whole process :S

Often than not, bespectacled boys are popular with girls.
I also realised that you have a prominent cleft chin and nice soft hair. Did anyone find you fluffy?

How about that! So many appreciators of the BEARD! And the glasses!
I guess ‘online girls’ (i.e. nerdy types) are much more likely to approve of glasses… but the beard has me stumped. Historically my beard has scared off most girls…
Shuping — ya! I have a dimple there! I look quite young without my beard and glasses. I didn’t know bespectacled boys were popular…
Emily — I’m told that lenses aren’t good for extensive computer use. Something about them drying up. I should get them for going out though… if I ever go out…
Thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
(I could totally be a super hero btw, Andhari.)

Hot Sebastian! I don’t understand why women don’t like beards, although whether it looks good or not depends on the guy. And dear god I wish my hair would look like that! Do you use conditioner or do you just have nice hair genes?
sebastian
Apr 26, 2010
You’re biased, mum…
I sometimes use conditioner if I’m going out, or trying to prettify myself for some reason. I don’t think it’s conditioned in this photo though.
My genes are almost perfect… except for some fat deposit ones…

Ah, mine are caught between Italian&curly genes and English&straight genes and the result is Frizz with a capital F, even Frizz-Eaze conditioner can’t tame it, it fights back.
The least said about fat the better, and on that note I think I shall go for a walk XD
