I don’t think I ever told you guys about the chair that I bought last year. I think I tweeted it, actually, but left it at that.
To be honest, I was ashamed of spending $1300 on a chair, y’see. I’m prone to really ostentatious purchases, but I don’t like to publicize it — I’ve never been one for showing off; I don’t really have the ego for it. But now, a few months on, I can tell you — with a straight face — that my Herman Miller Embody was worth every penny. If you can afford one, and you sit at a desk for 14+ hours a day, it’s one of the best investments you can make.
I don’t think there’s anything new in this photo from the previous shot of my desk. You can see my Wii in the bottom left, and my totally hipster German flag. The speakers are new, too — those are my disgustingly awesome KRK VXTs. It’s worth visiting my bedroom just to hear music played through them; it’s life-changing (if you’re into music…)
Oh, and my hair isn’t greasy in this photo!

(I started replying to this 3 days ago, and then… I got caught up with all sorts of other things. Apologies :))
A Wii turns you on, Lizzy? You should see the computer consoles in my cupboard! You might just… explode.
Aiko, I’ve been looking into ways of never leaving this chair. I could probably get some kind of toilet installed (they had them in the olden days… why not now?)
P*nky (what a curious name you have…) I have used weirder lures in the past… but I will never write about that kind of thing!

Oh, I’ve been thinking of buying a real chair for like 4 years now, but I’ve never really started looking for one. Thanks for the tip though. I’d buy a chair for that much; I call it an investment, else you might need to get surgery or something in 10-50 years for your back.
