I am currently in, or travelling to, The Kingdom of Norway (north Europe, next to Sweden, full of fjords).
Updates will come at odd hours, and as of yet I have no idea of what I'll be doing in Norway, except taking photos of fjords. They don't do much in Norway.
For more info use the 'Norway' tag, and go grab a sexy, hot-off-the-press Fjord Photo!

Oldie Of The Week

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve decided to highlight a ‘golden oldie’ blog entry that you might not have seen before!

I know this blog is hardly ‘old’, but looking at the stats, about two thirds of you will have never seen it! (It’s only 25 days into September and the blog has just broken 100,000 page views for the month — when this blog post first appeared, in March 2009, there were 40,000 page views a month.)

Today, the story I want to draw your attention to is my ‘dramatic reenactment’ of a true story. A true story of a man that fell head over heels into a disused nuclear bunker. This video diary, entitled ‘Day 37′ chronicles his hilarious, quirky and at times tearjerkingly sensitive adventures in the bunker, and how inevitably… he goes insane. (If you’ve seen the half-beard, but wondered where it came from… you are about to find out!)

Follow this link for the first chapter. The rest are linked from there. If you are of a sensitive disposition, or afraid of bodyhair, you probably shouldn’t watch (chapter 3 is the worst. Or best.)

I’m now going to cover myself in leaves for Monday’s 52 Weeks. I hope I can find one big enough for my private bits.

This week’s golden oldie IS…

(I know, this is almost as dramatic as the announcement that Barack Obama has just won the Nobel peace prize for being a black American president with a dream…)

I wonder if the trophy looked something like this:

Anyway…

This week’s golden oldie IS…

Thoughts from a happy childhood

Reading back always makes me cringe a little. Actually… it makes me cringe a lot. My grasp of the written word has altered so much within such a short period. I want to go back and edit it! But I shan’t. That entry links on to a better one (in my opinion), entitled ‘Further thoughts from a happy childhood‘ — there are dorky photos of me aged one to three dotted throughout…

See you on Monday. I have absolutely no idea how to top the chocolate sauce for 52 Weeks.

Golden Oldie Number Three

I did mention something about highlighting old-and-neat blog posts, right? And then I stopped doing it. I blame video games. Delicious, winter-release video games. If you’ve ever played a roleplaying game of any kind — Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade, Baldur’s Gate on the PC… you need to now play Dragon Age: Origins. Don’t ask questions on this one — it’s good. It’s probably the best (and last) single-player RPG of its kind, and it’s been a long time coming. It’s available for PC and consoles.

And with that geek-squeal out of the way (really, it’s that good) — this week’s Golden Oldie is…

Why LAN parties are awesome and clubbing is crap

Yes, thats actually a LAN party. Some 5,000 computers or so... crazy eh?

If you don’t know what a LAN party is, it’s defined in there. Why am I choosing that story in particular? Because next Friday I’m off to another LAN — and if you want to see my report/experiment from the previous LAN party, start with this blog entry, where I introduce Dr Sebastian House…

More pretty, autumnal photos to follow — either over the weekend, or on Tuesday.
