The Chair & The Commute Seb: It might not look like much — and the arm lock is broken on one side, so it limps and wilts to the left — but it’s my chair. I have written short stories, blog posts and treatises on human nature — all from a dirty white deck chair. It’s where I read, too. I finished Pride & Prejudice to the sound of birds tweeting at me from their nestled seclusion just a few…

27 & What a load of old Wallabies… Seb: If only it was the 27th of April! Or Week 27 of the project! Alas. Either way, there are baby lambs ALL over the fields at the moment and they’re incredibly cute. It’s amazing, the contrast between the winter-slumbering greys and blacks and whites of Norway, and the vibrant, lively greens of England. I am beginning to see why people love England so much, despite how mediocre and temperate it often…

Dude, where’s my pant? & Home & Away Seb: On Thursday I am off to Norway. This is both my homage to Norway (wool socks! water proof jacket!), and to a photo I took in 2009 before visiting the Faroe Islands. I had originally planned to go without the sandals, but didn’t want to ruin my lovely (and over-priced) wool socks. They’re snowboarding socks! So here I am, in my Jesus sandals… … As for the lack of pants —…

I should probably just tell you now… stage photography really is my favourite kind of photography. The lights, the acting, the actors — they all combine into such a dynamic, aesthetic canvas. I long to take more photos like these;…

You probably gathered from yesterday’s 13 of 52, that the photographic pickings are pretty slim at the moment. It’s grey, windy, horrible — there’s about two hours of good daylight if I’m lucky, which makes photo-shootin’ pretty hard. I’m reduced to internal and low-light stuff now, unless the clouds clear and we get some nice, clear, wintry afternoons in the following weeks. But that’s OK — I haven’t done any night-time photography in ages, and trying to get the most…

Pumpkin abuse & ‘Damnit mum, I told you to get a small one!’ Abi: It’s that time of year… Before I go any further, I just want to point out to our American chums that Halloween is nowhere near the big deal it is in the Yooessay. It’s more of a weak nod as opposed to the full on, horn tooting TA DAAAA! it is for you guys. If I’m really honest, Halloween in the UK is rapidly approaching something…
