Hail and well met, fellow Thespians. Did you know that I’ve acted on stage since I was about two? I was (un)fortunate enough to belong to one of those schools where, once a year, everyone slips into a costume made from old curtains, pipe cleaners and aluminium foil and prances around a stage for a couple of hours. In my formative years I just had to look cute. Later on I had to wear wigs (and affect a female voice), wear…

Blue Skirts & Doggie Style Seb: Finally, a return to stage photography! Unless you’ve looked through the archives, you probably haven’t seen any of my theatre photography — maybe a little live music stuff from the Faroe Islands, but I think that’s it. I should probably just tell you now… stage photography really is my favourite kind of photography. The lights, the acting, the actors — they all combine into such a dynamic, aesthetic canvas. I long to take more photos like these;…

Yesterday, a massively eclectic list of every album I’ve bought and accrued over the last decade-and-a-half. Today, as to give you a better idea of ‘where I am’ in the vast expanse of the percussive, chordal and tonal universe, I’ll give you a brief run-down of what I’m currently listening to on a daily basis. In fact, I’m going to listen to all three of these albums as I write this entry so that you get a nice dose of…

A six-month training regime. Three months of method acting. Private tuition with Andy Serkis. You saw the still photo, but as it turned out……

This entry was almost a deep-and-meaningful — I woke up with a start this morning with a deep, poignant phrase repeating itself over and over in my head — but after some reflection, I think I’ll wait for Monday. I need a little more time to turn it over; to taste it. Now if only I could remember the dream that obviously shook me enough to wake me up! Maybe this is what they call a ‘Eureka!’ moment… So I’m…

It’s hot and sticky in the UK again. I’m tired through lack of sleep and I refuse to pump myself full of caffeine just so I’m capable of coherent thought and thus bubble forth the beautiful, flowing prose that you expect from me. Instead, I went through photos from the G! Festival, a music festival that takes place on a beach in the Faroe Islands. You’ve seen a few but I have a lot (hundreds). There’ll probably be some more…
